Just being able to make decisions for yourself and to move forward tells me that you will succeed at anything you put your mind to. I am not sure that the ability to make decisions for oneself can be learned but it is a great ingredient for success. I would very much like to read your dissertation when complete.

🐸 I had no idea there was a frog emoji! I really enjoy your aesthetic voiceover vlogs, you have such a gift with those. But, the non scripted content keeps it exciting (this was so fun!) so I’d say a mix with a slight lean more towards the aesthetic voiceover content 😊

🐸🐸🐸 It was nice change up. Helped motivated me to get through these last 2 weeks of the Summer term. Have 6 wk break until my finaly semester of my Bachelors.

Teaching is always intellectually draining and time and task intensive. It is not always easy to come home and jump into the next task or project you're working on. In 2014, I was teaching and then coming home and writing my novel and film scripts, but that was while teaching 3 classes as an adjunct. When I became full-time, teaching the base 5 classes with additional 4, it was a different beast. I can still write, but when you are writing something where you need to have a continuous understanding and apply it consistently, whether you're writing a novel or a dissertation, you need a good space of time to do that. I get it when you discuss not feeling up to doing anything else after a full day of teaching.

Congratulations! I've been holding down a full-time job while working on four degrees (the last, Ed.D). It can be done! It's tough but can be done. Just think of it as a temporary situation. Once you get your PhD, it’s over.

very cool very cool indeed, such exciting news. I also ran a company during my PhD and occasionally managed to create content too. Even though I now don't see myself having a future in academia, doing further research or taking any industry job related to my area of study, I don't regret the decision to complete my PhD.

I like both chatty and aestheticized! Maybe it’s just me, but I do prefer shorter or single topic videos (if there’s more topics, at least some signposting helps me). I probably miss some good moments, but I typically only watch UA-cam in 15min bursts, so if the videos are getting closer to 30min or longer I don’t finish them and then have a hard time catching up later. That said, I’ve been enjoying whatever content of yours I can get to while sippin on my morning coffee!!☕️🙏

Congratulations, this is awesome! I’m actually contemplating approaching this from the other direction… I’ve landed my dream job but to keep it I probably need a PhD (currently only have a masters). It’s nice to see I’m not the only “crazy” who thinks it can be done! Best of luck in all the things!
